The city of Aachen lies in a Prussian valley, surrounded by wooded heights, on the Wurm, a tributary of the Rhur river, on its way to the Meuse.

Aachen is in a fortunate situation in more than one way: here where Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands meet, European thinking and lifestyle has a long tradition. Aachen is also very conveniently located on the European motorway axes to Brussels, Paris and Antwerp. It is also easy to reach by rail. The airports of Düsseldorf, Cologne and Maastricht are nearby. Also, Aachen is surrounded by delightful countryside, at the foot of the densely wooded Eifel, not far from the Belgian Ardennes hills and the green pastures of the region of Limburg in The Netherlands.
